A village based team helping support those in need with donations of food and household necessities.
We're a small team of volunteers, based in Farnsfield, who collect donations from St Michael's church porch daily and weekly from Farnsfield Bakery, Hamilton's Butchers, Farnsfield Co-Op and Hill’s of Edingley. Weekly deliveries are then made to the team at Life Spring Centre, Ollerton, who in turn deliver hampers to those in need in the area.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can support the work of Farnsfield Foodbank Support Group by leaving donations of food and household necessities in the porch at St Michael's church in Farnsfield. You can also donate cash at Atherley's Bakery and Hamilton's Butchers which will be converted in to food for delivery by our team to Ollerton Life Spring Foodbank. If you're shopping at Farnsfield Co-Op you can buy something extra and donate it at the till, the Co-Op team will then pass it on to our volunteers.

ABOUT THE CAR PARTNERSHIP
The COVID pandemic identified that many households needed additional support and this is when the Community Action Response project was founded; a partnership between various agencies which delivers food parcels to those in need. Although overseen by Life Spring Church and Centre based in Ollerton, residents of Ollerton, Boughton, Edwinstowe, Bilsthorpe and Farnsfield regularly receive food parcels.
HELPING THOSE IN NEED
Although the CAR project works on referrals from various partner agencies you can self refer to receive a food parcel. The partnership understands that many are struggling at this time, having to make difficult decisions between heating their home or feeding their family.

If you're shopping at Farnsfield Co-Op and wish to make a donation of an item, you're able to do so at the till for collection by one of our volunteers.
CASH DONATIONS
Donations of food and toiletries are always well received and distributed to households in need. If you would like to make a cash donation then this can be done via PayPal. This money is used to run the not for profit operation of the CAR partnership and is also used to buy goods to go in to the parcels for distribution.
